The LAT’s Martin Miller speculates on the expected tell-all by former FBI agent W. Mark Felt, who lives in Northern California and whose family reportedly has been fielding book offers since his identity at Deep Throat was revealed this week. “Off the top of my head, I’d say he could get a million-dollar advance,” says Morgan Entrekin, president of Grove/Atlantic. “You’re not getting Amber Frey’s account of why her boyfriend was a murderer here, you’re getting a book that people would read for years to come.” More in The San Francisco Chronicle and The Press DemocratJudith Regan talks with LA Weekly about her impending move west, possibily in January … The LA Times shadows Topanga Canyon novelist Harley Jane Kozak on her book tour … The California Legislature is actually considering limiting school textbooks to 200 pages … The NYT sez book banning is on the rise again: 547 books were challenged last year, up from 458 in 2003.
