Morning mail

Deanne Stillman sends word about an interesting new anthology, Unbridled: The Western Horse in Fiction and Nonfiction… a “very cool collection of pieces on wild horses by Edward Abbey, Mark Twain, Gretel Ehrlich, Joann Mapson, Frederic Remington, Teddy Roosevelt, and yours truly (mine is an excerpt from Horse Latitudes called “The Luckiest Horse in Reno,” about the horse that survived the ‘98 Christmas massacre of 34 wild horses outside Reno). Editor is Michael Engelhard, a writer and outdoorsman in Utah.”
