Daniel Olivas on Chicano lawyers who write

Authors of fiction and non-fiction, of novels, poetry, crime drama and explorations of the politics of culture — inspired by Anton Chekov, their mother’s recipes and their demanding professions — writing Chicano lawyers enrich the California bookscape. As part of our continuing series of essays by California authors, Daniel Olivas — writer, editor and Los Angeles deputy attorney general — introduces us to some of his author colleagues, and in the process, he expands our reading lists and passes on some good advice. Read “Chicano Lawyers Who Write” here.
